Copywriting for hair & beauty

10500 hair salon in Notting Hill wanted fashion-forward edgy copy for their website, monthly newsletter, weekly blog posts, and daily social media updates. They have a number of celebrity clients, such as interior designer Kelly Hoppen MBE, who has amazing curly hair (so do I). Her hair is a striking aspect of her personal brand and we knew her first appearance on Dragon’s Den would attract interest.

So I wrote a blog post about how salon owner Magda Jagri cares for Kelly’s hair (with Kelly’s permission, of course). The copy was optimised to be found on search so it helps drives traffic to the salon’s website. I also monitored Twitter for questions about Kelly’s hair, and sent the blog link to anyone who mentioned it. All this resulted in increased brand profile and bookings for the salon.

That’s not my only hair and beauty client. I’ve also written a website for a local hair salon who wanted to emphasise their family-friendliness, as well as web copy for various nail bars, each with their own unique style and service offering.

Many years ago, I qualified as a fashion writer at the London College of Fashion in Oxford Circus (now University of the Arts), so writing about hair and beauty takes me right back to my roots (ha ha).

If you run a hair and beauty business, I can help you market it better. Let’s talk.
