Every so often, I’m invited to judge a speaking contest. In July, I’ll be on a panel for the PSA North West Speaker Factor competition. Members present for five minutes on a subject of their choice, and get points based on criteria such as content, stagecraft, delivery and bookability.
As a copywriter, I’m most interested in the content and structure of a speech. I almost always have ideas about what they can say better and when, including stories that make the message simpler and clearer.
