10 years ago, Barnaby Wynter and I co-founded the South East region of the Professional Speaking Association UK & Ireland. We had our launch meeting in November 2014, and our first official meeting in January 2015. We used to meet near Brands Hatch.
Yesterday, 4 March 2025, I was at the region’s new home in Reigate, cutting a celebratory cake with other former Regional Presidents and Mary Asante, the current RP.
I also judged the inaugural Emerging Speaker contest, and delivered a session about experiential speaking.
After living on Zoom for so long, I’d forgotten how much I enjoy attending regional PSA events.
