On 1 March, I did my first on-site presentation since lockdown. It was for PSA South East, who wanted an interactive session that would inject energy after the refreshment break.
I devised a new talk for them to demonstrate various ways of using cards to break your audience into groups, prompt discussions, and reveal insights. These included:
- Playing cards
- Word/visual cards
- Business cards
- Index cards
- Voting cards
Everyone was involved in every activity I demonstrated. This caused much laughter and merriment as well as getting the learning points across.
Halfway through, I asked them to vote by holding up a green ‘yes’ card if they had already learned something they could adapt and use. The whole audience said: “Yes”.
Phew. Job done.
